Feeder buckets contain a circuit breaker or fused disconnect switch for overcurrent protection of branch circuits within the MCC. Unlike combination starters, feeder buckets do not contain contactors or overload relays — they distribute power to downstream panelboards, lighting, HVAC, and other non-motor loads.
